A Christmas Tale

Once upon a time there was a 16 year old boy named Aleape. He lived in a suburban neighborhood with his mother, Zeriah. Christmas was just around the corner, and all Aleape wanted was to see his dad , Zedge, who worked for the FBI and was always away from home, on Christmas day. Aleape kept a calendar where he would count down the days until he would be able to see his dad. He woke up and went straight to his calendar. He then saw that it finally was Chirstmas Eve. He jumped, stomped, screamed, and then ran faster than a bullet, jumping on his mom yelling at the top of his lungs ," Daddy's on his way, Daddy's on his way!!" Zeriah then kissed her son on the cheek and give him a big bear hug.  It had seemed as if hours flew by without them even noticing. Christmas dinner was ready and Aleape was waiting for the door bell to ring. Hours had passed, and it seemed an eternity before he heard the door bell ring. He opened the door as his mother rushed behind him. He opened the door and right there before his eyes stood a police officer. The police officer asked , "Is this Sheriff Zedge's Family?". Zeriah and Aleape both looked at each other with frightened faces and a shallow butterfly feeling in their stomach. Zeriah spoke up , " Yes, he's my husband" , "Ma'am I'm sorry to inform you that your husband was killed in an active case which contained of a drug cartel, the leader of the most notorious drug cartel in the world. We will have a ceremonial burial in your husbands act of strength, honor, glory, and service for the U.S. FBI. Sorry for your loss."  Both Zeriah and Aleape began to cry and then she slowly shut the door. Aleape ran to his room, slamming the door behind him. "Aleape" Aleape replied, "I don't wanna talk to anyone, leave me alone!" Aleape all alone in his room cried himself to sleep that night, and having that overbearing thought that his dad was no longer alive killed him inside. The chirping of a mocking jay sitting on a tree branch outside of  his bedroom window, awoke him. It was snowing cats and dogs. Yet, not even the snow lifted his spirit. He got up and even though the fact that his dad wouldn't be coming home anymore, he walked over to his mom's room and laid down behind her and gave her a hug from behind. As, he laid in the bed, he saw that the same mocking jay out side his window was now outside his moms and then he had one of those moment where you have some kind of connection with such a thing, so he decided to go outside to follow the bird. He ran back upstairs to grab a jacket and put on some shoes, than he ran downstairs and opened the door.  There on the tree beside the garden was the mocking jay staring right at him and once he stepped outside, the mocking jay stood on his index finger. As he took a footstep into the snow he had a brief run through of a memory with his father and as he keep walking forwards, he was able to see all the adventures that him and his father had created together. There and then he realized that the mocking jay which he held was significant for hope, and he smiled.
